Why do earthquakes interest Bible Students?

Because Jesus says that Earthquakes are one of the indicators of the Beginning of Sorrows for the World.




These earthquakes happen prior to the start of the Great Tribulation (which is listed as beginning in Matthew 24:21, Mark 13:19, and Luke 21:23).

There was an earthquake when Jesus was crucified (Matthew 27:54), plus the Bible records that there was a great earthquake that removed the stone from His tomb (Matthew 28:2) and another one that freed Paul and Silas from prison (Acts 16:26).

 What should we be doing? Luke 21:34;     Mark 13:33






Examining ourselves to see if we are in the faith. The Church will be in a state of Apostasy.    Like Israel they were pretending to obey God but their hearts were far from him. Many who think they are saved will not be saved because they were deceived by false teachers or complacent with family traditions. Being told their whole lives what good Christians they were but in their hearts they were lying. God knows your heart and He reads it to see what you are.

If you are not saved and have been pretending then it does not hurt to go to the Lord now where ever you are and ask to be forgiven and Read the Word of God for yourself.

Read the Word and make sure what you Believe is your convictions not your parents convictions.

Many who look good on the outside will not go to be with their family.

Make sure you are saved no Grandchildren in heaven!

So then the question was asked me the other day. Why do christians do such bad things and are forgiven and I am not sure if I believe and I will go to hell?

God says that we are to work for His approval not our salvation because He is Holy we should be holy.

We have a relationship with The Lord when we ask him into our lives ... that is the relationship of Father and child.

A perfect Father, we are born again into a perfect family with a perfect Father, and He loves us and never changes.

A good place to start is The Bible because the bible has Gods Spirit and He Jesus is the one you want to know and He is the one you can trust.

Russian military forces appear to be ready to launch an invasion with no warning!

The bible says that in the Twinkling  of an eye things are going to change.

U.S. intelligence agencies warned Congress late Wednesday that Russian military forces are massing near Ukraine’s borders and appear ready to launch an invasion with little or no warning.

According to defense and intelligence officials, Russian military forces include more than 20,000 troops massing along Ukraine’s eastern border, with some units within 10 miles of the border.

“We’re certainly watching the buildups very, very closely,” said a senior defense official. “They are reinforcing their forces in the southern and eastern portions of Ukraine.”

According to our officials, buildup is alarming because of the numbers and the level of readiness.

“Based on both the size and the types of forces, they certainly have the capability and the readiness level to move into Ukraine should they choose to do this,” the defense official said.

Adding to the war fears are signs the Russians are positioned to carry out an invasion with little or no warning.

Another intelligence indictor was the Russian military announcement Wednesday that an undisclosed section of airspace was closed for “military exercises.”

However, the officials said concerns about the massed troops were heightened by the lack of signs that the troops, tanks and armored vehicles are not conducting in exercises.

“What we’re seeing is not a lot of exercising, but a lot of reinforcing and setting in place,” the defense official said.

One theory of possible Russian military action is that the troops and tanks in eastern Ukraine are preparing to invade and take control of three major eastern Ukrainian cities of Kharkov, Loans, and Donetsk, and then create a land bridge that would allow easy access to Russia’s recently annexed Crimea, on the Black Sea. Currently, Russia has access to Crimea only by ship.

At the Pentagon Wednesday, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel was asked about military action by Russia and said he spoke last week with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu. “I asked him specifically why the Russians were building up their western border, and I asked him specifically what the intentions were as to that buildup,” Hagel said. “He told me that they had no intention of crossing the border into Ukraine.”

Ukrainian military forces have been mobilizing for the past several weeks since the Russians forcibly annexed Crimea. Crimea then held a referendum to join the Russian Federation. Among the Ukrainian military action in recent days has been the digging of an anti-tank trench along borders.

A classified intelligence briefing for members of Congress Wednesday afternoon prompted the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon, and seven other committee members to issue an urgent appeal to President Obama for the administration to take steps to head off a military attack.

“We write today with urgency and alarm, based on new information in the committee’s possession,” the lawmakers stated in a letter to Obama. “We are gravely concerned about the aggressive posture of Russian forces along the eastern border of Ukraine, as well as reports that Moscow may be making threatening moves towards allies in the Baltics.”

The congressmen asked the administration to share intelligence with Ukraine’s government to take steps to protect the country.

“We also believe it is imperative that the United States take precautionary steps to improve the posture and readiness of U.S. military forces in the region, and pursue additional measures to bolster the security of our eastern and central European allies and partners,” they said.

Details of the intelligence remain classified. However, a congressional aide said the letter to the president was based on intelligence indicating a military action could take place soon.

The Russian forces include large-scale troop movements under the guise of military exercises, along with the presence of significant numbers of Russian Spetsnaz special operations commandos operating in eastern Ukraine that are engaged in fomenting unrest, the congressmen stated in their letter.

Additionally, there are troop and naval movements by the Russians near the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, they said.

“There is deep apprehension that Moscow may invade eastern and southern Ukraine, pressing west to Transdniestria [near southwestern Ukraine], and also seek land grabs in the Baltics,” the letter stated.
According to the letter, the commander of U.S. forces in Europe, Air Force Gen. Philip Breedlove, who is also NATO forces commander, and NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen, are alarmed by the potential for new Russian military action.

Breedlove has been in Washington this week for congressional testimony and has raised concerns with senior U.S. officials. “The [Russian] force that is at the Ukrainian border now to the east is very, very sizeable and very, very ready,” Breedlove said earlier this week in Brussels. “There is absolutely sufficient [Russian] force postured on the eastern border of Ukraine to run to Transdniestria if the decision was made to do that and that is very worrisome.”

The lawmakers urged the president to increase the alert posture of U.S. forces in Europe “without delay” including the stationing of forward-deployed U.S. quick reaction forces.
“A failure to take such deterrent actions in the face of continued Russian aggression will certainly risk the very diplomatic and peaceful outcome that we all desire,” they stated. “Inaction by the U.S. and NATO will only further embolden Russian military planners, making further escalation more–not less–likely.”
The members also called for the United States to call an emergency session of the North Atlantic Council to request that NATO allies bolster their force posture and readiness “in the event that an Article V response is required.”
Article V is the section of NATO’s charter that directs the use of military forces.

“Mr. President, we still have opportunity to deter Russia aggression, but President Putin must see our commitment to Ukraine and to our European allies and partners,” the letter said. “He must visibly see our resolve, including our military resolve, and clearly understand the costs.”

Is Obama checking His sports picks, going golfing OR attending another happy hour with his cronies??? Is Rome buring while this dem-bulb goofs off or has his plan been to ruin America from the beginning? The Lord knows of course my money is on the Lord not some group of rich congressmen.

If you are not saved it is real easy to ask the Lord into your heart ask him to open your eyes and then start to read the Bible for yourself.

We are individual children of God and we start to develop a personal relationship with Jesus himself.

We do not put our Trust in Men We do ask the Lord to help us discern between the Hypocrite Christians and the ones who only want you to be saved.

The prophet, has his commission and charge renewed to reprove the sinners in Zion, particularly the hypocrites, to show them their transgressions

 We Plant the Seed, someone else Waters it BUT God gives the increase. All of us have fallen short of the Glory of God. All of US need to examine ourselves from time to time . Study to be approved of God NOT for the praise of Men.

 

 It is intended for admonition and warning to all hypocrites, and is not to be confined to those of any one age. Some refer it primarily to those at that time when Isaiah prophesied;

 Isaiah 33:14;       Isaiah 29:13.

Others to the captives in Babylon, the wicked among them, to whom the prophet had declared there was no peace

Isaiah 57:21.

Against the terror of that word they thought to shelter themselves with their external performances, particularly their fastings, which they kept up in Babylon, and for some time after their return to their own land,

Zechariah 7:3

The prophet therefore here shows them that their devotions would not entitle them to peace while their conversations were not at all of a piece with them. Others think it is principally intended against the hypocrisy of the Jews, especially the Pharisees before and in our Savior's time: they boasted of their fasting, but Christ (as the prophet here) showed them their transgressions (Matthew 23), much the same with those they are here charged with.

Observe,

 I. The plausible profession of religion which they made (Isaiah 58:2).

  II. The boasts they made of that profession, and the blame they laid upon God for taking no more notice of it (Isaiah 58:3).

 III. The sins they are charged with, which spoiled the acceptableness of their fasts (Isaiah 58:4,
Isaiah 58:5).

 IV. Instructions given them how to keep fasts aright (Isaiah 58:6, Isaiah 58:7). 

V. Precious promises made to those who do so keep fasts (Isaiah 58:8-12).

VI. The like precious promises made to those that sanctify sabbaths aright (Isaiah 58:13, Isaiah 58:14).

Our dependence IS upon God, and upon him only!

Psalms 39

In these verses we have,

I. David's profession of dependence upon God, and upon him only, for all good (Psalms 62:1): Truly my soul waiteth upon God.

 “However it be, whatever difficulties or dangers I may meet with, though God frown upon me and I meet with discouragements in my attendance on him, yet still my soul waits upon God”

(or is silent to God, as the word is),


“Says nothing against what he does, but quietly expects what he will do.”


 We are in the way both of duty and comfort when our souls wait upon God, when we cheerfully refer ourselves, and the disposal of all our affairs, to his will and wisdom, when we acquiesce in and accommodate ourselves to all the dispensations of his providence, and patiently expect a doubtful event, with an entire satisfaction in his righteousness and goodness, however it be.


Is not my soul subject to God?

So the Septuagint. So it is , certainly so it ought to be; our wills must be melted into his will. My soul has respect to God, for from him cometh my salvation. He doubts not but his salvation will come, though now he was threatened and in danger, and he expects it to come from God, and from him only; for in vain is it hoped for from hills and mountains,

“From him I know it will come, and therefore on him will I patiently wait till it does come, for his time is the best time.” 

 We may apply it to our eternal salvation, which is called the salvation of God (Psalms 50:23); from him it comes; he prepared it for us, he prepares us for it, and preserves us to it, and therefore let our souls wait on him, to be conducted through this world to that eternal salvation, in such way as he thinks fit.


II. The ground and reason of this dependence (Psalms 62:2): He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense.

 1. “He has been so many a time; in him I have found shelter, and strength, and succour. He has by his grace supported me and borne me up under my troubles, and by his providence defended me from the insults of my enemies and delivered me out of the troubles into which I was plunged; and therefore I trust he will deliver me,” 2Corinthians 1:10.

 2. “He only can be my rock and my salvation. Creatures are insufficient; they are nothing without him, and therefore I will look above them to him.”

3. “He has by covenant undertaken to be so. Even he that is the rock of ages is my rock; he that is the God of salvation is my salvation; he that is the Most High is my high place; and therefore I have all the reason in the world to confide in him.”


III. The improvement he makes of his confidence in God.

1. Trusting in God, his heart is fixed. “If God is my strength and mighty delivered, I shall not be greatly moved (that is, I shall not be undone and ruined); I may be shocked, but I shall not be sunk.” Or, “I shall not be much disturbed and disquieted in my own breast. I may be put into some fright, but I shall not be afraid with any amazement, nor so as to be put out of the possession of my own soul. I may be perplexed, but not in despair,” 2Corinthians 4:8. This hope in God will be an anchor of the soul, sure and steadfast.

2. His enemies are slighted, and all their attempts against him looked upon by him with contempt, Psalms 62:3, Psalms 62:4. If God be for us, we need not fear what man can do against us, though ever so mighty and malicious.

He here, (1.) Gives a character of his enemies: They imagine mischief, design it with a great deal of the serpent's venom and contrive it with a great deal of the serpent's subtlety, and this against a man, one of their own kind, against one single man, that is not an equal match for them, for they are many; they continued their malicious persecution though Providence had often defeated their mischievous designs. “How long will you do it? Will you never be convinced of your error? Will your malice never have spent itself?” They are unanimous in their consultations to cast an excellent man down from his excellency, to draw an honest man from his integrity, to entangle him in sin, which is the only thing that can effectually cast us down from our excellency, to thrust a man, whom God has exalted, down from his dignity, and so to fight against God. Envy was at the bottom of their malice; they were grieved at David's advancement, and therefore plotted, by diminishing his character and blackening that (which was casting him down from his excellency) to hinder his preferment. In order to this they calumniate him, and love to hear such bad characters given of him and such bad reports raised and spread concerning him as they themselves know to be false: They delight in lies. And as they make no conscience of lying concerning him, to do him a mischief, so they make no conscience of lying to him, to conceal the mischief they design, and accomplish it the more effectually: They bless with their mouth (they compliment David to his face), but they curse inwardly; in their hearts they wish him all mischief, and privately they are plotting against him and in their cabals carrying on some evil design or other, by which they hope to ruin him. It is dangerous putting our trust in men who are thus false; but God is faithful.

 (2.) He reads their doom, pronounces a sentence of death upon them, not as a king, but as a prophet: You shall be slain all of you, by the righteous judgments of God. Saul and his servants were slain by the Philistines on Mount Gilboa, according to this prediction. Those who seek the ruin of God's chosen are but preparing ruin for themselves. God's church is built upon a rock which will stand, but those that fight against it, and its patrons and protectors, shall be as a bowing wall and a tottering fence, which, having a rotten foundation, sinks with its own weight, falls of a sudden, and buries those in the ruins of it that put themselves under the shadow and shelter of it. David, having put his confidence in God, thus foresees the overthrow of his enemies, and, in effect, sets them at defiance and bids them do their worst.


3. He is himself encouraged to continue waiting upon God (Psalms 62:5-7): My soul, wait thou only upon God. Note, The good we do we should stir up ourselves to continue doing, and to do yet more and more, as those that have, through grace, experienced the comfort and benefit of it. We have found it good to wait upon God, and therefore should charge our souls, and even charm them, into such a constant dependence upon him as may make us always easy. He had said (Psalms 62:1), From him cometh my salvation; he says (Psalms 62:5), My expectation is from him. His salvation was the principal matter of his expectation; let him have that from God, and he expects no more. His salvation being from God, all his other expectations are from him. 

“If God will save my soul, as to every thing else let him do what he pleases with me, and I will acquiesce in his disposals, knowing they shall all turn to my salvation,” Philippians 1:19. He repeats (Psalms 62:6) what he had said concerning God (Psalms 62:2), as one that was not only assured of it, but greatly pleased with it, and that dwelt much upon it in his thoughts: He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense, I know he is; but there he adds, I shall not be greatly moved, here, I shall not be moved at all.

Note, The more faith is acted the more active it is. Crescit eundo - It grows by being exercised. The more we meditate upon God's attributes and promises, and our own experience, the more ground we get of our fears, which, like Haman, when they begin to fall, shall fall before us, and we shall be kept in perfect peace, Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep us in  

And, as David's faith in God advances to an unshaken stayedness, so his joy in God improves itself into a holy triumph (Psalms 62:7):

 In God is my salvation and my glory. 

Where our salvation is there our glory  is; for what is our salvation but the glory to be revealed, the eternal weight of glory? 

And there our glorying must be. 

In God let us boast all the day long. 

“The rock of my strength (that is, my strong rock, on which I build my hopes and stay myself) and my refuge, to which I flee for shelter when I am pursued, is in God, and in him only.


I have no other to flee to, no other to trust to; the more I think of it the better satisfied I am

in the choice I have made.

” Thus does he delight himself in the Lord, and then ride upon the high places of the earth,

Isaiah 58:14.

As things heat up to a fever pitch in    Ukraine. Let me reassure you that our trust as Christians is in the Lord Jesus Christ. He is The Lion of the Tribe of Judah , God is in control of  everything and just like Hitlers push to eliminate Israel did not succeed so will  Russian PM Putin only be allowed to go as far as the Lord allows him to go.  What does the Bible say about World War 3?

World War I in Europe set the stage for Hitler and His push for a thousand Year Nazi German Empire . The War weakened Europe and was the first World War.





Currently it is looking like Russia is making alliances with many different Nations.  If we look at the similarities of  the Ukraine Crisis and What happened in Europe just before
World War 2 it looks very similar !
 
What happened Historically in this same area  approximately 75  years ago ?

Hitler almost succeeded in taking Europe with the Help of other nations!

The war in Europe had been raging since 1939. 

By 1942, the Axis powers were in control of Austria, Czechoslovakia. Poland, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Norway, Yugoslavia, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia as well as parts of the Soviet Union and North Africa. The Ukraine at that time was in the Soviet Union.

Meanwhile, Nazi ally Italy controlled Sicily, Ethiopia and Libya and the Japanese had annexed large areas of China, South-East Asia and Indonesia.

After the Pearl Harbor attack in December 1941, America was facing the genuine threat of the Axis powers going for all and trying to annex the biggest Western nation.

   John Womersley, chief executive of the Science and Technology Facilities Council, which funds British research into cosmology, said the advance adds to our knowledge of one of the three key pillars of modern cosmology -- inflation, dark matter and dark energy.

"Without inflation we would not be here," he said.

According to theoretical physicist Alan Guth, who proposed the idea of inflation in 1980, described the latest study as "definitely worthy of a Nobel Prize."

Chris Lintott, an astrophysicist at the University of Oxford, said that finding evidence of this super-fast inflation would be considered "the most significant cosmological discovery in nearly two decades, and a huge triumph for physics."

"It's like all our Christmases at once," he said.

 (Israel)—This week's announcement that scientists had finally confirmed the existence of gravitational waves rippling through the universe, thereby bolstering the Big Bang Theory, would presumably be a blow to those who believe in the Bible.

Not so, Professor Nathan Aviezer of Israel's Bar Ilan University told The Times of Israel.

"Without addressing who or what caused it, the mechanics of the creation process in the Big Bang match the Genesis story perfectly," Aviezer explained. "The universe had a definite starting point—a creation—as described in the Book of Genesis. To deny this now is to deny scientific fact."

In remarks to The Jerusalem Post, Prof. Aviezri S. Fraenkel of The Weizmann Institute noted that science is actually moving closer to, rather than further from, the Biblical account. Whereas ancient philosophers were of the mind that the universe had existed forever, modern science now knows "there is a definite beginning."

Fraenkel continued: "In fact, the modern theories, which don't yet explain all the observed cosmological facts, bestow new meaning to the Biblical verse in Psalm 92:6-'How great are Your deeds, O Lord! Your thoughts are very deep.'"

One Mind Behind The Bible Our Bible is composed of 66 books, by about 40 different writers of various backgrounds, living during a period of about 1,600 years -- yet they present one message. Such a miracle can only be explained by there being one divine Author, who was in control of all these human writers.
The Bible writers came from many walks of life, including kings, peasants, philosophers, fishermen, herdsmen, poets, statesmen, scholars, soldiers, priests, prophets, a tax collector, a tentmaking rabbi, and a Gentile doctor.
The Bible was written in three different languages: Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
The writings contained in the Bible belong to a great variety of literary types including history, law, poetry, educational discourses, parables, biography, personal correspondence, and prophecy.
Books written by men have no unity of thought on even one subject. Some of them invariably disagree with others. But there is perfect unity between the books of the Bible -- which speak of hundreds of subjects in many fields. There is no contradiction among them.
Who but God could produce such a book?

That being said do not trust ME or anyone else! Read the bible for yourself and ask Jesus to explain the bible to you. He invites you to do that. Do not trust any man Trust the Lord Jesus Christ and He will direct your paths in a way that will make sense to you as an individual. I plant someone else waters BUT God himself gives the increase!

The Bible gives us an account of what will happen when Jesus Christ comes back to claim His Church in Matthew 24

Matthew 24:24  For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:31  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.



Anyone who preaches anything BUT Jesus is the Son of God is an Anti-Christ what ever they call themselves. Jesus said you either for me or against me. Any God will do is a lie.
